There will be a public forum on Leaky Building Syndrome on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the Meadowbank community center Meadow bank Auckland at 2pm.

This forum is for anyone who may have a leaky building, who may be looking at buying a home or who may have friends or family in this position.

RE: ‘Leaks could become deluge, Western Leader (October 9th)
Homeowners are deeply concerned that the problem of leaky homes still exists in New Zealand. It is destroying lives and families. Since the Stop Leaky Buildings Group was formed in January 2007, we have managed to gain support from hundreds of homeowners who have leaky homes to address this very problem. Their voices are now being heard by Government representatives and officials who are meeting with us regularly, in order to seek solutions to this very issue.
The Stop Leaky Buildings Group is advocating for builders’ insurance on all homes they construct in an effort to cover the home owner for leaky buildings. This has worked in other countries and gives home owners assurance the home they are purchasing will be covered for leaks. If people want to know more about leaky buildings and our group please feel free to contact me.
