Stop Leaky Buildings Group

The Stop Leaky Buildings Group was formed to address the unacceptable number of defective homes being built and sold to unsuspecting homeowners.

 By some estimates one out of five new homes built today have some sort of defective construction. One out of four construction defects involve leaky building problems.

 Our Group want to stop  leaky buildings being built.

We want to encourage the design and production of  well built, environmentally sensitive, beautiful buildings.

OUR MISSION

To eliminate leaky buildings syndrome from all modern construction.

To be an authorative voice in supporting the design and implementation of best practices that encourage environmentally sound buildings that are cost effective, well built, and do not leak.

What We Do

Committee members meet regularly with government and industry officials to give and receive feed back on issues related to leaky buildings.

Public forums are organized to educate the public to the dangers of toxic mold and leaky building syndrome.

As a committe and with the support of advisors the Stop Leakybuilding Group lobby legislators to improve warranties for new home buyers.

As a committee we regularly review developements in building envelope technology from around the world.

Committee advisors may be available to speak to condominium associations or body corporates on issues such as toxic mold and leaky buildings.

Consultations are  possible on an individual basis for individuals who may have a particularly differcult leaky building problem.
